Camping?!

I walked in to the living room and this is what I found. - They were dressed in their cammo, their fort all set up and they were mad at me because I scarred all the deer away. I apologized and went back to my bed room. I guess I wasn't invited.

The Countdown Continues

I have gotten a advent calendar every year for my kids to countdown till Christmas. This year I did this Picture Countdown. My kids have had so much fun taking turns turning over the numbers to see who the pictures are of. Only 14 days left, are you ready? (thanks Annie for the idea, it was fun.)

JURY DUTY

I have been summons for Jury Duty four of five times since me and Kevin have been married. (Kevin has never been summond) I have never had to appear in court though. I was recently summond for Jury Duty and was supposed to call in the Friday after Thanksgiving. Well, I completely forgot about it until Monday afternoon. I called in and found out that I was actually supposed to appear in court monday morning at 8:30. I talked to a lady there and was told that I am in contempt of court, may be fined for up to $1,000 and jailed for up to 30 days. WHAT THE!!! I wrote a letter to the court begging for forgiveness. Hopefully no one will have to visit me in jail:)

Elder and Sister Ellett

It's official my parents are on thier way to New York to embark on their 23 month mission. They left early this morning to start thier long drive to the Bronx. We had our Thanksgiving Dinner yesterday with the family. It was bitter-sweet. My parents play such a big role in our lives. Hopefully we will continue to function without them:) We will just have to plan a few trips to New York.

My parents have talked about going on a mission since I can remember. They are going to be awesome Missionaries, and I know they will touch the lives of the people they come in contact with. We love you guys!

AFTER

Sasquach is finally gone, and my Husband is back. Can you believe how much younger he looks without his beard! Now we wont get wierd looks when we are out - like he robbed the cradle, or have people wonder why he is touching his daughter innapropriatly:) I love you babe.

BEFORE

Sasquach lives on.

YUMMY PUMPKIN PANCAKES

I got this recipe off of my Cousins blog. I made them last night, and we loved them! I didn't have any molassas, I just added the brown sugar, and they turned out yummy. I think they would also be good with chocolate chips. Thanks Erin!

2 1/3 cups Bisquick baking mix
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/4 cups milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup mashed pumpkin
1/4 cup vegetable oil (or canola oil)

Preparation:
Beat all ingredients with a whisk or hand beater until well blended. Pour batter onto hot, lightly greased griddle or skillet. Cook until tops are bubbly and edges are dry. Turn and cook pancakes until golden brown.

If you don't have dark brown sugar, put in 3T of light brown sugar and 1T Molassas. They are so yummy if you like pumpkin! Enjoy!

K.C.'s Namesake (and the coolest kid ever)

Today would have been my brother Clint's 22nd B-Day. I cant believe it has been 7 years since he passed away. It makes me sad because he has missed so much in our mortal lives, but I know he is aware of everything and watching over us in heaven. I know that he knows my children and I believe he got to spend time with them before each of them came to earth. I miss him so much, and not a day goes by that I dont think of him. I Love you runt.
-MEMORIES-
-Riding our bikes down the ski slopes during a rain storm in Colorado.
-Riding the Tower of Terror again, and again, and again.
-Cliff jumping at Lake Powell.
-Playing the slap game in the truck, as my dad would get madder, and madder (is that even a word?) at us.
-Him teaching me how to Snow Board at Brian Head.
-Him throwing his egg salad sandwich at me, cuz he was mad.
-All of us kids sleeping in my bed on Christmas Eve, not sleeping, and listening to music as loud as it would go to trying to get our parents to give up and let us open presents.
-Him making Kevin sleep in front of the door to my parents room, while me, Clint, Brax, and Dusty slept in my parents bed - so the bad guy wouldn't get us. (we thought someone was in our house when my parents were out of town)
-Late night talks.
-Him referring to Kevin as FURY:)

Clint was such an amazing person and I am glad I got to know him for the short time he was with us. Thanks for the memories!

Happy Birthday K.C.

Today is K.C.'s Birthday. He turned SIX today, and all he wanted to do for his birthday was go hunting with his dad. He was bummed that Kevin didn't get anything yesterday, but excited because that meant he got to go again today. (Good job babe, I am so proud that you were finally able to hit something!!!)

K.C. is such a sweet and happy boy. He loves anything boyish - playing outside, digging in the dirt, riding his bike or skateboard, playing soccer, playing catch, hunting, camping, fishing, 4-wheelers, helping grandpa Bob at the farm, helping papa with anything - surprisingly he loves to work and is a very hard worker. (hopefully he will hold on to that trait) HAPPY BIRTHDAY KACE!!

KIDS...

Kids say the cutest things!!

K.C. - mom my foot is all tingly, and feels funny.

Me - It probably fell asleep from the way you were sitting on it.

K.C. - Do your feet have tiny eyeballs in them?

Me - No, why?

K.C. - Then how do your feet fall asleep?

I love their innocence
